First Doctor Visit

Aria is 2 whole weeks old today and had her first visit to the doctor's office (first visit anywhere out of the house, actually).

Stats:
Weight: 9 lbs 3 oz - 75th percentile (she left the hospital weighing 7 lbs 3 oz, gaining a whole 2 pounds!)
Length: 21 inches - 75th percentile

She also had her second PKU test, where they jab her in the heal and make her bleed on a piece of cardboard (check's for a specific enzyme). The nurse complimented her on what a good bleeder she was! The girlie band aid the nurse tried to put on first wouldn't stick so we had to go with the cool camo band aid. I think it made her look tough. Mark went to change her diaper tonight and the band aid had come off and she had "bled all over in her blankets!"

The doctor declared her perfect, which I already knew, and healthy.

Lehi Rodeo Days - All Horse Parade

June 25, 2009This is a big deal around here in Lehi. Families with little kids, like ours, and families with all teenagers come out to this parade every year. This year it was chilly (just like the rest of June) and started to rain just as the parade was ending, but it was still a lot of fun!

They were all smiles...Waving at the Rodeo Princesses...
Next year the girls (the older ones anyway) will be old enough for the Round up Rodeo! Ye-ha!

Beautiful Baby, If I do Say so Myself

Today while everyone was at church, Aria and I had a little photo shoot. She's quite the little model. At the time I didn't think that we got any good pictures but I think these turned out pretty cute. The subject was cute to begin with so really all I had to do was click away.....

Pianist, Basketball Player, Spider Monkey?

Yesterday the temperature reached 100 degrees in Lehi and if you can believe my luck, my air conditioner decided it didn't like working in the heat. My house heated up to a toasty 84 degrees. Way too hot for me and Aria. So, because Aria has a wicked diaper rash, I stripped her down and she had some naked time. My camera was close and I took these pics. She has the longest fingers and toes. She has a future as a pianist, or a basketball player, or she might be a spider monkey? Regardless, her future looks bright!

Dinner and a Show

July 4, 2009

The Boss has decided that she is a "big girl" now. She will not eat in her high chair. Simply refuses. She firmly believes that she can eat at the bar while "sitting" on a bar stool. It's an adventure with every meal! And, being a "big girl" she is obviously old enough to eat with a fork! That doesn't make this scene dangerous at all!I was unaware that dancing was something that you were supposed to do while eating. Apparently is aids in digestion...
Well, at least she helps clean up the floor after her dining adventures!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

June 20, 2009We took the girls to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House in June. It was really neat for the girls to see inside the Temple. And the Temple is beautiful, different than any other I have been in.

It was cold, windy and tried to rain on us, but a beautiful way to begin a Saturday.

Pajama Rama

The Boss is growing, really she is even though sometimes I wounder about it. Here is proof of the Boss' growth spurt and a prime example of Daddy's excellent sewing/alteration skills.
