Getting Tattoos

I know our bodies are temples and we are not supposed to get tattoos, but this is a seriously good idea.

I just ordered some "Safetytats" for our up coming Disneyland trip. I wish I had known about them the last time we went. Thanks Billie for the link. Hopefully we won't need them, but we will have them.

You can check them out here:

World of Goo

No, that is not a description of my life as of late. Although, now that I think about it, it really does describe everything about The Boss and those that come into contact with her. But I digress.

Yesterday on our MLK jr holiday we did pretty much nothing but hang out and play the Wii, or boardgames and the girls got in plenty of Webkinz time. A while ago we had downloaded "Tetris" for Wii, my all time fav game, but we hadn't really played it since we got it, cause really people we're busy here! So yesterday Mark and I had a tetris showdown, which was pretty fun. (I really don't get many don't do anything but hang out on the couch and play video games type days, you'll see why later.) So, after the tetris showdown, Mark downloads another game that was game of the year last year (so I hear). It is called "World of Goo." The object is to use all these little balls of goo to build scaffolding/trusses/bridges/etc. and get to a goal. And really, to tell the truth, it is pretty fun and a challenge to get it right.

So, fast forward to early this morning because I don't remember my dreams until the wee hours of the morning. (Some of you may already know where I am going with this, cause it's happened before.) Ok, it's the wee hours of the morning and instead of peacefully sleeping, I am dreaming of building things out of little balls of goo. And then it gets really weird because then I start dreaming about blogging about dreaming of building things out of little balls of goo! I really shouldn't be playing video games, it does really weird things to my head! So now that I have blogged about it, as per my dream, hopefully I'll have a nice dreamless sleep tonight. Pregnancy dreams are too crazy for me to deal with on a routine basis.

Hanging out in the Nursery

Yesterday I was asked to sub in the Nursery. I forgot how much I love the nursery, especially at the beginning of the year. There were only six kiddos and they were mostly happy to be there. One little guy was not too thrilled to be there but quickly fell asleep and his little nap did him wonders for the rest of church. But really, what could be better? Hang out, play with toys, eat some snacks, have a 3 minute lesson, and play some more. I can even handle finding the parents for dirty diapers (2 total) and endlessly wiping runny noses! And The Boss had a wonderful time, as long as she could see me. She loved playing with the other kids and "tasting" all the toys and snack time was a huge hit. The Boss only has 6 more months until she can "legally" go into the nursery. Maybe until then we will invite ourselves in every week! To help, of course.

Why I love the Gym

Okay, don't be deceived by the title, I really hate most aspects of the gym. Namely, sweating, getting ready, going, working out, sweating, pain, you get the picture. I'm not even too fond of the clothes and don't get me started on the shoes! However, our membership comes with daycare privileges. Need I say more? Well, maybe I should say more; this is my blog after all. An hour and a half - everyday - if I were so motivated! Everyday! So I can show up, drop off the kidlets and "workout" in the awesome theater room watching a movie - in the dark - so no one can see you! So it doesn't matter that you're only 11 weeks pregnant but look more like 26. But I digress. To sum up, if you give me an hour and a half of daycare a day, you can get me to do just about anything I find painful and morally repugnant!

Well, almost. . . I’d have to take it on a case by case basis.

So that's why I'm such a cry baby!

Well, it's official (we told the girls so that make's it official, cause' it wasn't before). All the crying, heartburn, aversion to my favorite foods (but still hungry) and tired, so tired. We're pregnant. And we I say we, I mean I am whiny and grouchy and Mark is forever trying to make me feel better. But seriously, what's with all the crying? I was reading a story to Drama and Pooh Bear the other night and burst into tears. They both looked at me like I was a crazy person, and in their defense I act like one lately. At the gym before Christmas I burst into tears on the elliptical machine and the guy next to me couldn't finish his workout and get away from me fast enough! So, if you didn't know before (a) it's Mark's fault and (b) surprise! I have the pink paint on order and my book of most popular girls names of the 1800's highlighted! Mark your calendars for the end of July, it's going to be an eventful summer!
